  • What connects those two people at the shoreline? What’s brought those them here?

  • Where is this place? Do you know it, or somewhere like it? Which inner and outer places and spaces matter to you?

  • Which of those seven gathered stones would you choose, and why? t

The sessions on this twelve-session course will cycle between people (known and unknown), places (rural and urban) and things (mineral and animal) as ways into writing short pieces of fiction, memoir and poetry.

I'm a published author and a qualified and experienced Creative Writing for Wellbeing facilitator. I create a safely-held space where participants have the opportunity to write into a prompt and then share their writing with the group if they wish to. The focus is always on the content of your writing; there’s no literary critique.

People, Places, Things is suitable for people new to Creative Writing for Wellbeing as well as more experienced writers. The course will operate within CARE guidelines (Confidentiality, Attention, Respect and Empathy), allowing participants to take creative and emotional risks in a safely-held space. There's no obligation to write in a particular way, nor to share your work if you don't want to. No previous experience is necessary.

NB There is no session on Tuesday 28 October.

Zoom: Min group size 6, max group size 8
